itanium pigment manufacturing methods of two kinds: sulfuric acid method (Soleplate Process) and LvHuaFa, sulfuric acid method is a titanium iron react with sulfuric acid in acid solution to produce the titanium sulfate, the hydrolyzed metatitanic acid is generated, then through calcinations, crushing the titanium white product. This method can produce sharp titanium type and rutile type titanium pigment. Sulfuric acid method has the advantage of low price available to titanium iron ore with sulfuric acid as raw material, the technology is relatively mature, simple equipment, anti-corrosion material is easy to solve. Its shortcomings is a long process, can only give priority to with intermittent operation, wet operation, sulfuric acid, high water consumption, waste and by-products, more pollution to the environment.

LvHuaFa is rutile or high titanium slag powder is mixed with coke after high temperature chlorination production titanium tetrachloride, oxidized by high temperature, then through filtration, washing, drying, crushing the titanium pigment products. LvHuaFa only rutile type titanium pigment production. LvHuaFa advantage is process short, production capacity is easy to expand, continuous high degree of automation, low energy consumption, less "three wastes", rutile type titanium pigment can get high quality products. Its disadvantage is that large investment, complex equipment structure, the material demand is high, high temperature resistant, corrosion resistant, device is difficult to repair, research and development is difficult.
